Connected to the Divine Presence

Within us all is a power and presence, an energy that gives rise to our being. It is the essence that empowers our minds to think. It is that which enables our sacred hearts to beat, cells to divide, and atoms to vibrate. It is universal and eternally connected to all things. …

Despite our most valiant efforts, we humans have not been able to fully express or encompass this Divine Presence, despite all the books we've written, temples and monuments we've constructed or sermons we've given. It is the Divine Energy that gives rise to the energy we use each day to create, and It is infinite.

Within you and me, this Infinite Intelligence resides. We are infinite beings experiencing this moment, here and now. Recognizing this foundation that our entire being and spirit are connected to and built on, we can see how profound and sacred this experience of life is. Perhaps we can truly see how holy this Essence is and, by consciously recognizing this, how much compassion, potential and power flows to and through us each day. …

As we become aware of our level of awareness and the connection we feel with the One, we begin to remove the ceiling we've placed on ourselves and the Divine. Realigning with that which we are — infinite beings — we effortlessly merge with our infinite potential.

Care for the self is an act of radical compassion and a deep union with God.

Embracing the Power of Self-Care

And now, I simply allow my breath to bring me present, and from this place, I easily turn my attention to the place that resides deep in my being, ever present, my eternal home.

In this divine awareness, I recognize and acknowledge there is simply One — one life, one love, one mind, one God. This One is the ever-creating, intelligent, loving, whole power of Life. It is the source of all. How good it is to be present to the truth.

As there is only one life, one love, one universal body, I must be of this Life. God as Spirit moves my life and is always perfect in Its unfoldment. There is no thought, place or feeling that can change this truth. There is nothing that can separate me from God, the One.

I know and claim — right here, right now — that I am a creative, intelligent manifestation of the One. As I know God must be for Itself, It must be for me. This care is born of the eternal, infinite love God is. …

How good it is to be present to the truth. In this moment, I am filled with gratitude for universal law and the presence of Spirit in and as my life. I also give thanks for the divine nature of how life works, knowing the law is always working in perfect harmony with life itself. The law is always for me.

There is nothing left to do but simply release this treatment into the infinite potential and loving care of Spirit. With my word, it is done. I let it go, and I let it be. And so it is.

Attune Yourself to the

Infinite Intelligence

Let us think of the whole human race as made up of innumerable human cells, all of which are put here by the same Divine Architect who created the individual cells in our individual bodies. And, of course, we know this Divine Architect has made all races of one blood, for there is but one race, which is the human race, and but one God, who is the architect of us all.

Just as our thoughts of doubt, fear and uncertainty, of insecurity and unhappiness can disorganize the functioning of our physical bodies, so universal thoughts of a like nature can disorganize all of society and give wrong direction to everything we do. And just as bringing our thoughts into harmony with the Divine Architect and that perfect spiritual plan can produce this beneficial effect on the physical body, so the thoughts of all humanity, joined in one accord, can bring about a healing among the nations.

When we pray, we attune ourselves to the infinite Intelligence that directs us in terms of love and goodwill. When we speak peace and when we speak wholeness and harmony, are we not also saying, “Father, thy will be done,” so that we, as individual cells, become harmonious parts of the body of God? I believe that should our many voices rise in common prayer to say again, “Thy will be done,” the world would know peace.

If by a broad sweep, we could wave some mystical wand and re-identify all people as children of God so that each would say, “I am akin to the Prince of Peace; I am a harbinger of love and good will,” certainly this invocation of the Divine Architect of the universe would call forth a response among all the nations that would melt in love every sword, that the plowshare should again turn the earth and bring forth a harvest of love and good for all.
