A Prayer for Harmonious Relationships

I rejoice in the knowledge that we are all One. The Divine is the Creator and the composition of all that is, all that is not and all that ever will be.

I relish in the truth that all of life is naturally harmonious. Harmony is the natural state of existence for all. I acknowledge this truth about me and everyone I interact with. This one harmonious, powerful and infinite presence is everywhere, dwelling in everyone, including me.

Recognizing the truth of this oneness with all, I feel unbridled love pulsating throughout my body. I see unbridled love and wholeness in everyone around me, in all of creation. I easily experience a unified wholeness within myself and with everyone I interact with. I know I am one with the spiritual qualities of love, joy, beauty and understanding. I am whole and complete just as I am, and so is everyone I meet.

Realizing the truth and power in these statements, I breathe a deep and grateful breath filled with love, power and joy. I claim that all relationships I have — with myself and others — are filled with harmony and acceptance. Our interactions are filled with the divine acknowledgment of wholeness. For while we are all united, we are also all unique, individual expressions of the Divine. We are needed, loved and accepted just as we are.

In Heartfelt Service to Others

As he does each month, Rev. Dr. Jesse Jennings answers questions in the July 2022 Science of Mind magazine. Some questions he addresses come to him from people he meets in person or by email or through other means. In each case, he answers some of the common and uncommon question posed by Religious Scientists and New Thought adherents.

This month, he offers his thoughts on the distinction between “mere words” and taking action. He writes: “About mere words: There are no such things. Words express thoughts, and thoughts plus the feeling behind them absolutely change the experience of forthcoming reality. Consider all the sacred writings, documents, books, speeches, legal precedents and so forth that have swung history one direction or another.”

Jennings further offers a distinction between a gesture and real help, explaining that the distinction exists in two places. “The first is in the heart of the person gesturing,” he explains. “The second is in the judgments of onlookers. Only you know why you are lending a hand, breaking a sweat, going all out in committed action. If you're performing good deeds for approval, you may or may not get any, but the work is still being done.”

Adding that a healthy ego is part of the human condition by which we each want to do something, he says, “Not only are you the one to do it, but you get to choose what form it takes that's meaningful, heartfelt and aligned with your values.”

Spirit is the Father-Mother God
because It is the Principle of Unity back of all things.
The masculine and the feminine principles both come from the One.
Spirit is all Life, Truth, Love, Being, Cause and Effect.
It is the only Power in the Universe that knows Itself.
