Nothing but a Dream: don Miguel Ruiz
Here’s a daring idea: What if the waking world is as much a dream as the sleeping one? What if each of us is the protagonist and the writer in our own story, and we can change our story?
Toltec mystic don Miguel Ruiz offers his mind-bending theory in the April cover story of Guide for Spiritual Living: Science of Mind magazine. Here is a video introduction to his most famous work, “The Four Agreements”:
This New York Times best-selling book reveals the source of self-limiting beliefs that rob us of joy and create needless suffering. Based on ancient Toltec wisdom, “The Four Agreements” offer a powerful code of conduct that can rapidly transform our lives to a new experience of freedom, true happiness and love. |

Rants to God From a Hot Tub: Give Me a Sign!
Linda M. Potter is a favorite contributor to Guide for Spiritual Living: Science of Mind magazine. In the April issue, she explores the practice of “spiritual rightsizing,” or decluttering our lives and our minds. With her signature humor and wisdom, Potter says what we hold onto speaks volumes about us – what we value, what we feel we need to be happy and what we most fear. Rightsizing isn’t about getting rid of stuff. It’s about freeing up energy for what we really want.
Did you know Potter wanted to be a stand-up comic? Known to many as the “Erma Bombeck of Metaphysics,” Potter shares brilliant insights into life in her book, “If Only God Would Give Me a Sign.” Here are some excerpts: |

Abundance Is My Inheritance
—Ernest Holmes
Abundance is mine. I cannot be deprived of my supply. The trees do not lack for leaves, nor do the flowers fail to bloom. Am I not as important as they? “Consider the lilies of the field, they toil not neither do they spin, yet … Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed as one of these.”
I look at the lavish wastefulness of Nature and know that God intended me to be as abundantly supplied, with everything that makes for beauty, well-being, progressive living and happiness … This day, as I turn to the [Spirit] within, I bring “all the empty vessels” knowing they will be filled, and my abundance will become manifest.
This is an excerpt from “The Science of Mind,” written by spiritual visionary Dr. Ernest Holmes. Read more in the April 2016 issue of Guide for Spiritual Living: Science of Mind magazine. |
