The Sacred Continuum You Were Meant to Experience
By Dennis Merritt Jones
"To every thing there is a season,
and a time to every purpose under the heaven."
~ Ecclesiastes 3:1
MacDoodle, my dog, and I took our regular early morning walk today just as the sun was rising. The air was unusually cool and dense with moisture from the lingering fog--it truly felt like autumn. A very gentle breeze stirred and the fallen leaves from the now mostly barren trees spiraled around me like my own personal wind tunnel. I stopped and took a deep breath, realizing I was being beckoned by the beauty of it all to be still and know. Know? Know what? To know that I was part of a Sacred Continuum older than time itself and that the connective tissue between "what has been" and "what shall be" is the eternal "what is." The wind on my face, the scent of dry leaves swirling around me, the sun just peeking over the hills bathing me in its warmth as it dissolved the remnants of the fog...it all came together in an elegant convergence of energy that was like a sacred symphony for the senses being conducted by Mother Nature herself. Sobriety & Spirituality
By Rev. Sunshine Daye
“My experience of addiction is only an experience. It is not who I am.”
~Rev. Sunshine Daye
People who have struggled with addictions know the challenges the holidays can bring. In this article, a Science of Mind minister who has first-hand experience with alcoholism shares her thoughts on the power our words have in our lives.
A Facebook friend asked, "Knowing we are perfect, whole and complete, how do we get up and identify with a disease each time we speak at a meeting?"
First I will address the concept of being whole, perfect and complete. Many spiritual people throughout the world live with the cosmology that because we are made of God, (Higher Power, Life Itself) then that which is true of God is true for each of us. Therefore, God is whole, perfect and complete and so am I, since I am of this same Source. Continue reading |

Our Thoughts Are Like Writings on a Blackboard
By Dr. Ernest Holmes
We do not change Reality. But our thoughts are like writings on a blackboard; they may be rubbed out and replaced by others.
We must not only continuously identify ourselves with the desires of our heart, being certain they do not deny goodness, but must erase and remove all contrary ideas. Jesus indicated that God desires us to have every good thing. The song of a joyous life is always being sung, but we do not hear it.
But God cannot give us peace through confusion; God cannot give us joy through our tears. God cannot express in opposites. If It did, it would destroy Itself, which It cannot do.
Because of this, Jesus said: “Ye cannot serve two masters.” And in the Bhagavad Gita we find the admonition that we will have to do away with the pairs of opposites. We cannot walk east and west at the same time.

November’s Theme: Muslim Foundations
Prayer, truthfulness, piousness and generosity. Islam has many different factions, but we are focusing on the foundations that are beloved throughout the Muslim world. We will use stories from the Sahih al-Bukari, which have been shared with children for generations. Remember, these sacred stories are important in the Islam religion and should be treated with dignity.
The words reflect one's inner self
Mahmud was a very pious man, but he was not very attractive looking. One day, he was walking along the road, minding his own business, when a lady came up to him and started calling him names and abusing him. This lady kept saying all kinds of nasty things and Mahmud just listened to her patiently. Continue reading |
